Mountaintop dining experience
REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED. Join the CLSA for a gondola ride and a dinner to remember at the top of Banff’s Sulphur Mountain on Friday, September 7th. Fellows and their guests will be provided with a chartered bus to the Banff Gondola from the Fairmont Banff Springs for a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain to enjoy the phenomenal views, followed by dinner at the Sky Bistro with sunset views. With six stunning mountain ranges and the sweep of the Bow Valley before you, views from the Sulphur Mountain summit are nothing short of breathtaking. The cost for the event is $185 USD per person, which includes appetizers, dinner, dessert, and a full bar; a gondola ride up and down the mountain (a $64 value); and transportation to and from the Fairmont Banff Springs. If room block capacity is reached on or before July 27, 2018, the CLSA rate will not be guaranteed and may no longer be available. Any requests for special room arrangements must be made at the time of the call. Gratuity for bellmen, doormen, and others who render intermittent personal services are not included in the resort service chanrge.

When reservations are made, a deposit equal to one night’s room rate and taxes is required. This deposit is fully refundable if cancellation is made at least 7 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival. Deposit subject to forfeiture if canceled within 7 days of arrival.

The closest airport to Fairmont Banff Springs is Calgary International Airport (YYC). Please note passports are required for US citizens entering Canada.
Calgary International Airport (YYC) is located approximately 80 miles (130 km) East of the resort. Most major airline carriers fly into Calgary.
AIRPORT SHUTTLE
Airport shuttles are available via Banff Airporter from the Calgary International Airport to Fairmont Banff Springs with regularly scheduled service. Reservations are required at least 1 hour in advance. Schedules and rates are subject to change without notice.

BUS SERVICE
There is a bus service run by the town which runs approximately every 40 minutes into Banff. Fare is $2.00 per person. The bus operates daily from 6:35am until 11:15pm. See the concierge desk for a town bus schedules which are subject to change without notice
RENTAL CAR
All major car rental agencies are represented at the Calgary International Airport, and some are in the Banff town site. Reservations are required. There is a Hertz office located in Fairmont Banff Springs.
PARKING
The hotel's parking is located beside the Convention Center. It is a three-level roofed parkade with 415 parking spaces:
- Self-parking: $25 CAD/night, with unlimited access
- Valet service: $39 CAD/night, with unlimited access

The CLSA's Conference Cancellation Policy is as follows: The conference registration fee is fully refundable for cancellations received on or before Friday, July 27, 2018. Cancellations received between July 28 and August 9, 2018, will result in a refund, less a $95 processing fee. Cancellations received between August 10th and August 27th will be refunded at fifty percent (50%) of the total fee, or the total fee may be credited to a future CLSA event. Due to the financial commitments made to the Resort by the CLSA, cancellations received on or after August 28th will automatically be credited to a future CLSA event.
